  Your main responsibilities as Commercial Manager will include:

  • Managing proposals for the business and delegate agreed responsibilities where appropriate
  • Ensuring appropriate risk review is undertaken for all proposals
  • Providing commercial and contractual advice to the General Manager and senior management team.
  • Resolving contractual disputes on ongoing projects
  • Contract administration including change orders, payment, scheduling,  bid list formulation and close out of subcontracts
  • Reviewing and qualifying contracts
  • Understanding of contracting and subcontracting principles, filing systems, insurance, risk management and cost control/forecasting
  • Preparing design proposals and supervising the preparation of contract documentation.
  • Working closely with clients to develop concepts and obtain the initial approvals. 
  • Planning projects by designing structure, layout, and specifications.  Obtaining the required approvals from clients and/or make adjustments to contracts to ensure approval.
  • Working with internal teams to ensure design & construction programs are being carried out in accordance with contract documentation.

   

  This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Contracts Administrator ideally with a tertiary background in business/law or construction management. This is a senior position with a large company that offers a diversity of construction projects, a blue chip client base, structured internal processes and executive support.
